Recipe For Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

Put about 2 cups of frozen whole strawberries in the blender (or any Frozen Berry, Pineapple or Frozen Fruit Blend)
Add 1 Banana (frozen bananas make it creamier and thicker)
Add 1-2 cups of soymilk, orange juice, Almond milk or water til it is just below the level of the strawberries. Let it sit in the blender for about 5-10 minutes to slightly defrost the strawberries. Then blend until smooth.
Add a scoop Vanilla JP Complete powder. Blend. The amount of strawberries and liquid will determine how thick it is. You can add any frozen or fresh fruit that you like. Blueberries are good too. Different fruits give you Variety.

Recipe: Chocolate Banana Juice Plus+ Complete Smoothie

Chocolate Banana Juice Plus Complete Smoothie.

1 cups ice cubes
1 - 2 cups Organic SILK Soy Milk, Vanilla Almond Milk, Rice Milk, or Coconut Milk  (I don’t prefer Cow’s milk)
1 -2 Bananas (frozen)
1 scoop chocolate JP Complete powder
1 Tablespoon Natural Peanut butter (Optional – but I love the “Reeses” taste with PNB in it!!)
1-2 Tbsp. ground flax seed (optional, for additional omega 3’s.)
Put ice, soy milk, and banana in the blender. Blend until smooth.  Add flax seed and chocolate powder. Blend just until mixed in. That's it! It's delicious and the healthiest meal that you could make for yourself in less than 60 seconds.
*Actually, I don't measure anything. I put ice cubes into the blender. Then I add soymilk to almost cover the ice, and throw in the frozen bananas.
*Also, if your bananas are getting over-ripe, peel them, slice them and put them into baggies in the freezer. They make your JP Smoothies much creamier, smooth, and icy. Yum.  I always use FROZEN bananas!
Also, if you add flaxseed, be sure that your flaxseed is ground. (Whole Golden flax seed passes through the digestive tract undigested, so Grind it yourself in a Coffee mill.) Do not buy pre-ground flax seeds.  Grind it just before adding to your smoothie to protect the Omega-3's.  And keep flax seed in the refrigerator. Flax seeds provide many benefits: (Omega-3's -Good for hormones, heart, cancer fighters, Lignans-Cancer fighters and additional fiber.)

New Study Shows Black Tea Lowers Blood Pressure

Black Tea May Lower Blood Pressure

A study took place in Australia using two groups of people; ones who were given black tea to drink, and the other one, a placebo group.
According to the Archives of Internal Medicine, researchers in Australia studied the results of 95 men and women who participated in this experiment, which took six months to complete.
When the experiment was finished, the group that drank black tea every day showed a lower number in their blood pressure than when the experiment began. Their numbers went down by about three points. This group drank three cups of black tea a day during the phase of the experiment. Flavonoids in tea may also help with improving the blood vessels' tone.

I found this definition of 'phytonutrient at www.webmd.com:

The term "phyto" originated from a Greek word meaning plant. Phytonutrients are certain organic components of plants, and these components are thought to promote human health. Fruits, vegetables, grains, legumes, nuts, and teas are rich sources of phytonutrients. Unlike the traditional nutrients (protein, fat, vitamins, minerals), phytonutrients are not "essential" for life, so some people prefer the term "phytochemical."

Huffington Post Article on Juice Plus - January 20, 2012

Here is an article from Huffington Post telling how Juice Plus can help with skin. Read the article here:

Here is the title of the article:

Fruit And Vegetable Juice Improves The Skin, Say Scientists

I am happy that there are scientific studies done on Juice Plus. Juice Plus can do a lot in the way of health. Eating 9-13 servings of fruit and vegetables a day can be healthful too! That's a lot of fruits and vegetables to eat and the time it takes to prepare some of them. Well, maybe you can do that, but I would rather get that much nourishment from taking Juice Plus. Oh, I really do love fruits and vegetables though. I know most people don't care for vegetables, but I really like them. But even with that, I don't have the time or resources to eat 9-13 servings every day!
Anyone interesting in looking at Juice Plus and finding out more about it is welcome to go to my web page at www.sseifertjuiceplus.com   . There are different links that tell of the research with Juice Plus, the benefits, what Juice Plus is (and isn't), plus a contact number and a link to the store with the Juice Plus products.
