If you have never heard of Four Thieves oil, you need to look this up. The story goes like this; in the Fifteenth Century, Some thieves came up with this recipe and used it to protect themselves from getting sick while digging up graves. They gave the recipe away in order to make their sentence lighter when they got caught, and we have it today.
Four Thieves oil is made up of cinnamon oil, lemon oil, rosemary oil, clove oil, eucalyptus oil, and lemon oil. When combined in the right proportions, this mixture is amazingly beneficial. It helps serve as an antiseptic, and has anti-viral properties as well. It is good to use if someone in the family is sick or has a cold.

Heads Up For My Vitamin Taking Friends If You Are 'Flushing' Take Heart!
There is a saying that goes like this; We learn something new every day. Well, today I learned something new and I want to share it with you. I want to share this with my health minded friends (I know there are a lot of different ways of thinking of health care. I am talking specifically with my friends who take supplements and vitamins.
I was about to finish my dinner when my neck became very hot. At first, I thought it was just a hot flash. But in seconds I knew this wasn't a hot flash. I felt like I was on fire. My neck and shoulders were now burning. I asked my husband for help. Maybe we should call 911?
I was pointing out to my family while we were eating dinner, that our dinner was a 'safe' dinner. Almost everything we ate was organic, or at least natural. So, was I suffering from a food reaction or allergy? Whatever it was, it was spreading down my arms, and eventually went down the trunk of my body and into my legs and feet. Was it food poisoning? I was concerned, because I had used some raw cream that was a little old. I don't think it was bad though, but I could have been wrong. Maybe my body was reacting to it. Maybe I had food poisoning from it. Why weren't any of the other family members affected like this?
This seemed more like a reaction to something I ate, rather than food poisoning. The only thing I could think of was the seasoning I put on the potatoes. I looked at the ingredients and it was a just a bunch of common herbs and spices. By now, I was almost beet red. It looked like I had been to the beach! I had also posted a message on Facebook seeing if anyone would have any idea of what this could be.
Lo, and behold, someone came up with the bright idea that it could be niacin and asked if I had taken any. I had taken some a couple of hours prior to dinner. I went to the bottle and read what it said about 'flushing'. Flushing could occur when you take niacin. Sometimes, you would become itchy. I finally concluded that I must have had a 'flushing' reaction from the niacin. I have never had anything like this before.
But it gets better. I decided I will not take niacin again unless it was the non-flushing kind. But I was mistaken. According to this video, flushing is a good thing. It is part of detoxing. I had no idea. Detoxing is desirable and taking niacin can result in it. So, I will keep my bottle of niacin and continue to take them. I may have another 'flushing' session tomorrow or the next day. It's ok. I will come back to normal within an hour or so. So, if you start turning beet red and feel really hot, chances are that you are flushing. If you are flushing from taking niacin, take heart. It is a good thing. If you suspect you are flushing from something else, please see a good health caretaker. Or do a google search on the Internet. Use wisdom and be safe.

Why We Are An Unhealthy People Today
We live in a society where many are sick. We have sicknesses that are new. We are developing conditions that were minor in the olden days. What is it that could be wrong? Why are the statistics for cancer, one in three women, and one in two men? Why is diabetes out of control? Who ever heard of Alzheimer's 100 years ago? And yes, people did live long lives even back then.
There were times when civilizations were wiped out, for example, the Black Plague. In early American days, there was an influx of immigrants landing in New York City, and many died from sicknesses, even at an early age. The Black Plague was scary because no one still can figure out how it spread. What would happen is that a person would get off a ship, and without even coming in contact with anyone, the disease would spread like wildfire. But the sicknesses we are facing today, are much different. Many of them are diseases of our own making. Some of them are exaggerated by our lifestyles. What is it that we are doing now, that is making and keeping people in a state of sickness or early deaths?
Years ago, I saw a show on television, and I won't ever forget the picture. It was a picture of wheat fields being sprayed with pesticides. Do you realize how much pesticides are on our wheat? I thought back then that this couldn't be good. Every time I buy a bag of flour, I think of that time when that television show was on (well, maybe not every time, but often).
Growth hormones are added to animals to make them grow fat and big. That big juicy turkey you ate at Thanksgiving was pumped with growth hormones to make it a big turkey. Growth hormones are added to other animals as well. I have heard that girls are beginning puberty much earlier than their moms did. Could there be a connection?
Antibiotics are given to animals to prevent them from getting sick. There's one big problem though. Eventually, the antibiotics aren't going to work. Animals are kept confined until they are ready to be slaughtered. They stand in their feces and germs will grow on them, no matter how many antibiotics are given. But, they will come back and tell you that when the meat is in the process of being sent to the deli (or maybe at the deli) it is sprayed with bleach water to kill the germs. Bleach is carcinogenic, by the way.
I remember reading of someone's sad story of how they lost their bird. They gave the bird an apple to eat. The bird ate the part of the fruit nearest to the core. The bird died. Apparently, there was enough poison that was applied to the apple trees that the toxin made it's way to the apple that the bird was eating. But the FDA will tell you that using insecticides is safe and not to worry about it.
So, should we stop eating? No, but we are coming to the point where we will have to search for places that sell 'safe' food to eat. We are going to have to take it into our own hands and become responsible for knowing what our food is made up of and what is in it. Food that has been processed has, by default, lost a number of nutrients. But they are added back in, supposedly. It is called, 'enriching'. But the enriching is not the same as having the original vitamins and nutrients in it. In fact, they are probably synthetic versions of the nutrients.
So, why are we so sick as a nation? Why are so many gluten-intolerant? Why so many allergies? If you know the facts of what's going on and can make connections, you will see why instantly.

Coconut Oil & Peanut Butter: New Advances for Alzheimer's
Coconut Oil & Peanut Butter: New Advances for Alzheimer's
Here is an article I think can be helpful. Another good use for coconut oil!
Chocolate Coconut Balls
1 can coconut milk
shredded coconut (use unsweetened if possible)
coconut oil
coconut butter or Coconut Manna (optional)
vanilla flavored protein powder
chocolate chips (high percentage of cacao)
Separate the milk from the liquid in the coconut milk can. Use the liquid for another recipe or just drink it. Mix the coconut milk with the coconut and add a little coconut oil and if available coconut butter and protein powder. You may need the protein powder to make the mix thick enough to form into balls. I also add about a tablespoon of stevia to the mixture. Form into balls and refrigerate. If mixture isn't thick enough, you can add more coconut to it before forming into balls. Heat the chocolate chips on very low heat. When melted, add the coconut balls and coat with melted chocolate. Refrigerate. Serve, eat and enjoy.

Here is a favorite recipe using coconut:There are only two types of fuel your body can convert into energy: carbs/sugar, or fat. Again, ketones are what your body produces when it converts fat (as opposed to glucose) into energy. And a primary source of ketone bodies are the medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) found in coconut oil. In fact, coconut oil contains about 66 percent MCTs.Medium-chain triglycerides (MCT) are fats that are not processed by your body in the same manner as long-chain triglycerides. Normally, a fat taken into your body must be mixed with bile released from your gallbladder before it can be broken down in your digestive system.
But medium-chain triglycerides go directly to your liver, which naturally converts the oil into ketones, bypassing the bile entirely. Your liver then immediately releases the ketones into your bloodstream where they are transported to your brain to be readily used as fuel. While your brain is quite happy running on glucose, there’s evidence suggesting that ketone bodies may actually help restore and renew neurons and nerve function in your brain, even after damage has set in. Interestingly, the mechanism of this MCT-ketone metabolism appears to be that your body treats MCTs as a carbohydrate and not a fat. This allows the ketone energy to hit your bloodstream without the normal insulin spike associated with carbohydrates entering your bloodstream. So in effect, coconut oil is a fat that acts like a carbohydrate when it comes to brain fuel.*****************************************************************************************************

Artemesinin - Another Cure For Cancer
Artemesinin, another name for Sweet Wormwood, has potential for being a cancer killer. When taken, it must be taken with iron and they work together to kill cancer cells. The question remains though, how do we get a hold of artemesinin and what kind of iron works with it to kill the cancer cells?
Well, I found the Artemsinin in capsule form at amazon.com. Artemsinin is reputed as being able to kill cancer cells in your body in 16 hours. It might be worth looking into, especially if you have cancer. Here is a link to an article about the healing affects of Artemesinin:

Vitamin B-17 To The Rescue!
I don't know about you, but I am always interested in finding ways to either cure or prevent cancer. In 1985, the statistics showed that 1 in 4 people will get cancer. Today, the statistics are that 1 in 2 men will get cancer, and 1 in 3 women will get cancer. Not good news.
When I was little (in the 1960s), if a person found out they had cancer, it was an automatic death sentence. Not necessarily so today though, but cancer is one of the biggest killers in America today. Amazingly though, there are people who have defeated cancer. I have heard of two such people (there are probably many more). One woman who had terminal cancer made cabbage soup every night. She eventually died of pneumonia. Another woman who had terminal cancer was sent home to die. She decided to eliminate sugar from her diet. She survived and is cancer free. I also saw a video recently of 5 people who had terminal cancer and defeated it through diet, exercise, detoxing, and a few other things.
While researching things on amazon.com, I found a cookbook called, 'The Little Cyanide Cookbook'. Seems kind of strange for a book, but it contains recipes rich in vitamin B-17, which is touted by the author as being 'nature's control for cancer'. (The author is June de Spain).
There are a lot of recipes in this little cookbook. Many of them I can make myself with another recipe. The ingredients in these recipes that contain vitamin B-17 are italicized and bold. In the back of the book the ingredients are listed. One of the ingredients is lima beans. They contain vitamin B-17. That is good news for me because a couple of years ago, I planted some lima bean seeds I got at the grocery store and have strong lima bean plants. My family doesn't like lima beans, so I was sorry I planted them in the first place. I decided to take some of the fresh ones and make succotash with them. I just mix them with frozen corn and cook them for a short time.
The author highly recommends the readers to read a book by G. Edward Griffin called, 'World Without Cancer; The Story of Vitamin B-17'. I haven't read the book but it sounds interesting. One more item that can help in the battle of cancer. One of the best sources of Vitamin B-17 is apricot kernels, ground. The author uses this a lot in her recipes. I know that they also contain cyanide, but for some reason, in small amounts, it seems to be a good ingredient.
